SANTO DOMINGO.-The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) announced that the Floating Bridge will be closed to traffic today, Saturday, September 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The Director of Bridge Maintenance at the Ministry of Public Works, Romer Francisco Pérez Vargas, explained that the reason for the closure is to allow passage for two tugboats, the Poseidon R/M Svitzer Melena and the dredger RIO I.
The Floating Bridge, over the Ozama River, connects the National District with the community of Villa Duarte, municipality of Santo Domingo East.
