SANTO DOMINGO- Puerto Plata is regaining its momentum as a tourist destination every day, with the arrival of cruise ship passengers, government plans and real estate development projects that put the bride of the Atlantic in the spotlight.
That is why the first CENI Expo Forum, which will take place tomorrow, March 8, from nine in the morning to six in the evening, invited one of its representatives to offer details of everything that is happening on the North Coast at the present time.
This is the prominent businesswoman Birgitt Heinsen, manager of the Business Development division at Ocean World Adventure Park and Marina, responsible for the sustainability, public relations, education and health and safety departments of the company, located in Cofresí, Puerto Plata.
Currently, she leads high-impact public-private projects for the future development of Puerto Plata as a tourist destination in her position as president of the board of directors of the Puerto Plata Destination Tourism Cluster, an entity responsible for integrating a value chain through cooperation agreements with public and private institutions at the provincial, national and international levels, with a view to increasing tourist arrivals, promoting competitiveness, strengthening sustainability and accelerating its socio-economic development process, according to her professional profile.

Heinsen is the founder of the board of directors of the Dominican Association of Theme Parks and Excursions of the Dominican Republic (ADOPETUR), an organization that represents the interests of companies related to recreational tourism of parks and excursions at the national level before public or private entities and seeks to sponsor for the benefit of the public everything that contributes to the highest level of quality and satisfaction in recreational tourism services.
Her professional profile highlights her recognized track record in the hospitality and real estate industries, leading sales and marketing teams for hotels, tours, and real estate developments. She focuses on the areas of sustainability, communication, education, and online distribution.
Birgitt Heinsen is a graduate in Business Administration, with a specialization in Educational Administration, complementing her training with certifications in sustainability in the tourism industry and online distribution channels.
