Today, as a result of the pandemic, the needs of employees and many companies have changed in terms of work environments, and for this reason some have opted to provide better workspaces so that their employees can be more productive, committed and happy.
The challenge that large corporations have been facing has been enormous, due to this new hybrid work modality, which has brought with it the reinvention of office spaces, the provision of technologies for workers, the management and supervision of business activities from a distance, and much more.
Many companies have undoubtedly managed to strike a balance, increasing work flexibility for their employees with a hybrid model combining remote work and in-office days. However, in countries like ours, where there is still no law regulating remote work, and where most employees have poor home internet access, the challenge is even greater.
I have witnessed how, in this last year, many companies, understanding the need for employees to have some days of work outside the home, have opted for collaborative and flexible spaces, such as Corporate Business Centers & Coworking spaces with suitable environments for working, as well as with the necessary infrastructure and technology, something that is often not so easy to achieve at home.
In the National District, we have large multinational companies such as Kimberly Clark, BASF, Siemens, ABB, GSK, among others, making use of these spaces, where in addition to the significant savings this represents, they have a motivated team, in a pleasant, safe environment, with opportunities to network, learn, develop business and grow professionally.
Here's one of the things I've learned (from personal experience and that of my clients in the Dominican Republic) about working in a corporate coworking space; I'll share the benefits I discovered, as well as some tips to keep in mind when choosing a collaborative workspace:
• It increases my productivity and makes my time more efficient. This aspect of my time is very important to me, since my job keeps me constantly coming and going, and this system allows me to manage everything from my cell phone and always have meeting rooms and workspaces ready for my clients, without needing to take time to prepare them.
I've met new people and expanded my professional network, as these spaces allow you to create synergy with the other companies that are active there. Personally, I love being surrounded by people, so it's an extra dose of motivation for me.
• I always have parking available, which makes everything easier for me.
• When choosing a coworking space, keep in mind that not all options in Santo Domingo are the same. Focus on your specific niche to get the most benefit. Whether you're a freelancer, a professional, or part of a multinational corporation, there are options for everyone.
Visiting a collaborative space, such as a corporate coworking space, can be a very good option for companies that require this work flexibility and are looking for significant annual cost savings. Environments like these offer numerous advantages to employees.
