SANTO DOMINGO.- The National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (Intrant) reported that this Saturday the 20th, from the evening until the early morning of Sunday the 21st, temporary closures will be carried out at kilometer 9 of the Duarte highway, in the East-West direction, due to work on lifting a pedestrian bridge.
“Due to work on lifting a pedestrian bridge, temporary closures will be carried out on the overpass at kilometer 9 of the Duarte highway, in the East-West direction,” Intrant reported through its Instagram account.
The intervention will take place at the intersection of the Duarte Highway and John F. Kennedy Avenue, as part of the road infrastructure work aimed at improving pedestrian safety and mobility in the area.
According to the agency, the closures will be in effect from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., so it urged drivers to plan their journeys in advance and respect the signs and instructions of the traffic personnel stationed in the area.
