SANTO DOMINGO– President Luis Abinader announced this Monday that changes within the government will continue in the coming days, as part of the “normal adjustment processes” that occur daily in the workplace.
Yesterday, through decree 461-25, the governor removed several officials from his administration, including those from Refidomsa, Banco de Reservas, Senasa, the Directorate of Strategy and Government Communication (Diecom), among others.
"Obviously, those positions will be filled in the coming days, and other changes of different kinds. In the next two or three days," the president stated during LA Semanal con la Prensa this Monday, August 18.
The president explained that, while new appointments are being finalized, the ministries and entities that were left without heads after the recent relocations will operate with provisional managers.
When questioned about the reasons behind these changes, the president responded that they are "normal adjustment processes".
"Some people have a certain amount of time; these are normal adjustments. Some change positions, and that's completely natural," he stated.
He added that these types of movements also occur in the private sector, as part of a normal dynamic.
Regarding whether the allied parties will occupy positions in the upcoming changes, Abinader indicated that they will, and that they have already been entering and leaving the Government, as part of the established agreements.
