The Dominican Republic was selected for the list of “The 15 best places to travel in February 2024”, compiled by Travel Leisure magazine.
The publication highlights that travelers who don't mind the cold should consider Europe's elegant ski resorts or a chill-out city break, but also suggests that if sun is what you're after, there are pleasant beach destinations in the US and the Caribbean, perfect for couples and families.
Regarding the Dominican Republic, its location stands out, bordering the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean with almost 1,000 miles of coastline.
It says its beautiful beaches are the main attraction for many travelers, but that it also boasts other diverse landscapes to explore. They indicate that adventure-loving travelers can fly over rainforests, explore the depths of ancient caverns, or go rafting on the river.
During their visit to the country, they can also enjoy activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, and boat trips to nearby islands. Among their recommendations, they highlight the Paradisus Palma Real in Punta Cana as one of the best all-inclusive resorts, an elegant beachfront property that was recently renovated.
