Construction: In the round of meetings of Magín Díaz

SANTO DOMINGO.– The Minister of Finance and Economy, Magín Díaz, has been holding a series of meetings with various associations and guilds in the national productive sector, with the aim of listening to their proposals and gathering input that will contribute to strengthening the economy and the stability of public finances.

These meetings are part of the ongoing dialogue agenda promoted by Minister Díaz, aimed at consultation, collaboration and the search for consensus.

 “The Government cannot face the complex challenges of the national economy alone; we need to listen to every sector and association, and build solutions together that strengthen public finances, competitiveness and confidence in our economy,” said Minister Díaz.

The official stressed that this process of rapprochement allows the Government's decisions to respond to the real needs of the economy and contribute to sustaining growth in an environment of trust and transparency.

Within the framework of this agenda, the Minister of Finance and Economy met with the Association of Non-Alcoholic Beverage Industries of the Dominican Republic (Asibenas), the Dominican Association of Housing Builders and Promoters (Acoprovi), the Dominican Chamber of Construction (Cadocon) and representatives of Constructora Bisonó.

He also held meetings with the National Association of Companies and Industries of Herrera (Aneih), the Association of Vehicle Manufacturers' Dealers (Acofave), the National Association of Hotels and Restaurants (Asonahores), the Dominican Association of Hardware Importers (Adoimfe), as well as with representatives of the insurance sector.

The participating unions and associations appreciated the minister's openness to listening to their proposals and expressed their support for the Government's efforts to consolidate macroeconomic stability, promote investment and increase national competitiveness

Meetings with sectors

This round of meetings is part of a broader agenda of outreach to various trade associations and business organizations that the minister has held in recent weeks.

Previously, the official also met with the Board of Directors of the National Council of Private Enterprise (Conep), with national business leaders, with the National Organization of Commercial Enterprises (ONEC), with the National Board of the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD) and with the Dominican Federation of Merchants, as well as with representatives of the MSME sector.
