SANTO DOMINGO.-The Cibao Savings and Loan Association participated in the celebration of the Dominican Republic Electric Mobility Day (DEEDRD) 2024, an activity organized by the company Zero Emission RD, which brought together those interested in electromobility to learn about different vehicle models and sustainable ventures.
Under the concept of the event "sustainable culture", the Association took advantage of the space to present the facilities for the acquisition of solar panels, electric vehicles and motorcycles through ACAP Green Loans, which are geared towards personal and business solutions.
Aneyka Núñez, branch manager at the financial institution, stated that the Cibao Association recognizes the importance of sustainability in the financial sector and has moved towards a more sustainable business model, promoting a comprehensive approach with achievements in three dimensions: social, economic and environmental.
"This incorporation of the environmental sustainability vision into the business model is reflected in the availability of ACAP Green Loans. As of June 2024, our financing portfolio with preferential rates and conditions for the acquisition of solar panels, for example, reached RD$85.2 million with 125 active loans," he explained.
He indicated that, starting in June 2023, the facilities were extended to the area of sustainable mobility, with solutions for the purchase of electric vehicles and motorcycles.
The executive emphasized that, as a responsible financial institution, it promotes environmental sustainability through initiatives focused on the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources. One such action is the installation of 4,406 solar panels at 29 of its branches, which have the capacity to generate 1,665.67 kWh.
The Cibao Association valued this event as an opportunity to connect with the electromobility enthusiast segment and for them to learn about the facilities and solutions it offers for that segment.
