SANTO DOMINGO.- Cemex Dominicana reported a fire at its cement plant on Saturday afternoon, which was being controlled by the Santo Domingo fire department, according to a statement issued by the company.
"We are reporting that a fire broke out this afternoon at our cement plant. It has been contained and is being controlled by various fire department units who will extinguish it as quickly as possible.".
"Our operations continue as normal and no human or material damage has been reported," the company statement said.
