The president of ACOSDE, Riubell Montes de Oca, pointed out that streamlining processes, along with greater transparency and predictability in procedures, represents a key aspect for the development of the construction sector.
During a meeting between representatives of the construction sector and authorities of the organization, the businessman indicated that these improvements not only impact the industry, but also have effects on the national economy, as it is one of the main drivers of investment and job creation.
Processes and legal certainty in the sector
Montes de Oca stated that the sustainable development of cities depends on clear rules, planning and legal security, as well as administrative processes that allow for the execution of projects with greater certainty.
For his part, the Minister of Housing, Habitat and Buildings, Ito Bisonó, presented the progress related to the new Construction Code and the implementation of the Single Window for Construction, as part of the plan to modernize permitting.
One-Stop Shop for Construction
According to the explanation, the system seeks to consolidate the necessary procedures into a single file, establish clearer requirements, and facilitate the monitoring of processes with greater visibility for users.
The minister indicated that the permitting process involves the participation of various institutions, including Tourism, Environment, the National Institute of Drinking Water and Sewerage (INAPA), municipalities and other entities linked to the project approval process.
