PUNTA CANA, LA ALTAGRACIA PROVINCE.-The Caribbean low-cost airline, Arajet, officially inaugurated its operations from Punta Cana Airport (PUJ), expanding its connectivity and announcing that the airline surpassed one million passengers flown during 2024.
Victor Pacheco, CEO and founder of the firm, indicated that the airline continues to expand its destination network and connect this important tourist hub with the American continent from Canada to the southern cone.
He reported that this November is doubly special because Arajet surpassed one million passengers flown in 2024 (including transit passengers), being the first time in history that a Dominican airline has reached this figure in a year.
“For Arajet, it is a commitment to boost tourist arrivals to the country by offering them more opportunities to visit the Dominican Republic at the lowest prices on the market through our robust network of destinations and the more than 200 connection combinations we currently have,” said Pacheco, who added that the main objective is “to make the Dominican Republic the new air hub of the continent.”.
