Airbnb accommodation prices rise by around 33% and its growth continues to boom

During the last day of the Digital Marketing course, a group of outstanding professionals shared their knowledge and experience with the nearly 200 participants who met virtually yesterday.

SANTO DOMINGO– The price per night for accommodations rented through Airbnb has increased by approximately 33% recently. Nevertheless, this platform continues to thrive, projecting itself as one of the most prosperous businesses both now and in the future.

Economist Gabriel Florentino states that revenue generated through the short-term rental model is increasing daily, as people are willing to pay more per night and the number of hosts grows worldwide. “Everyone involved with Airbnb is doing very well, and even though prices have increased by 33%, people are paying for it,” declared the self-proclaimed economist and YouTuber during his presentation at the Digital Marketing Congress.

He explained that the Airbnb method multiplies the profitability of properties, being a service business that generates emotions, maintaining an occupancy level of around 80% in its units, at a general level.

The finance professional understands that this form of accommodation has facilitated the teleworking brought about by COVID-19, which has also been a market taken advantage of by this platform.

When deciding to invest in becoming part of the Airbnb network, it is necessary to consider the amount of money needed, whether the property will be profitable, and be willing to embrace the digital trend of the new era, the professional maintains.

Congress concludes

Yesterday, during the last day of the Digital Marketing course, a group of outstanding professionals shared their knowledge and experience with the nearly 200 participants who met virtually.

“Leave the digital world and sell like an expert,” was the presentation by Regis Jiménez, where he shared extensively with the participants his journey through the real estate industry, the keys to his success, the valuable content of his real estate blog, and the importance of investing.

Edward Saldaña spoke about the role of agents and their organization, inviting them to define the types of properties they will offer and the sectors they will impact. He reminded real estate brokers to understand that each niche or market segment requires a different approach, and he encouraged specialization within the sector.

“Winning over investors with common sense and empathy. Developing plans and measuring performance, reviewing it every two weeks, not every six months; analytics is the tool we have to see where we are, how we're progressing, and how far we can go,” Saldaña stated.

Become a Digital Agent, was covered by Emil Montás; The Power of Follow-Up in Closing Sales: Become a Client Magnet was presented by Jorge Brito; while the topic of Leveraging Instagram in Your Real Estate Business was detailed by Vane Monroe.

Monroe, a Mexican entrepreneur, said that it's not the number of followers an account has that matters, but rather the quality of those followers, and she urged real estate agents to have an Instagram account, given that it is a high-growth social network.

Miguel Ceballos, the event's host, thanked the exhibitors and participants and highlighted the useful content served during the three days of the event, hoping that each of the attendees could get the most out of it.
