A real estate family that encourages communication

“For me it’s easy, I’m passionate about my work, but when the day is over I immediately connect with my family. I’m one of those people who thinks that every space has its time.”.

SANTO DOMINGO – Bélgica Brito, Pamela Caro Brito, and Francis Brito belong to Best House Realty, a company that took off nearly two years ago under the guidance of two entrepreneurial women who, facing challenges, invest in the real estate market every day. Bélgica, along with Rita Castillo, are the captains. Bélgica is Pamela's mother and Francis's aunt, and she shares her reflections on family with her children.

For Bélgica Brito, who has been involved in the real estate market for 20 years, family “is the driving force of my life, and it never goes out. Every day I thank God for the family I have.” For Pamela, “my family is a very important part of my life. If I didn't have them, I wouldn't have the support I need for my actions. I believe that family is the foundation of everything; it's practically everything to me, and I'm very grateful to have one, even though we're not perfect.” “Family is synonymous with support, loyalty, unconditional love, and first friendship. It's that core group where you begin to see the true meaning of trust. At least in my case, my family has become my best ally, my confidants, and my companions, and not just within my immediate family,” says Francis.

They see the advantages of working together as a family in this way: “It has the advantage of learning to value each other's skills, sharing each goal, discussing differences, and above all, it helps you grow together working toward the same end, putting into practice every human value instilled in our family,” the mother/aunt replies. For the new agent who started her career with the opening of the company, trust, respect, and shared visions can be even greater when working together. Francis understands that there are many advantages, “starting with the opportunity itself. Working with family already gives you an advantage, and it means knowing beforehand who you're dealing with. It prepares you, based on their upbringing, to know how to differentiate between work and family life and not disrupt harmony or relationships.”.

The Brito trio knows how to separate work from personal life: “For me it’s easy, I’m passionate about my work. But when the workday is over, I immediately connect with my family. I’m one of those people who believes that everything has its time and place,” says the captain. Pamela respects the workspace; while Francis believes that “everything stays behind the office doors, everything that happens inside should stay there. Thank God, with the family members I’m working with now, we have an unparalleled bond that allows us to communicate in a way that doesn’t affect either of our lives.”.

Families in crisis are advised not to focus solely on themselves, but to learn to help each family member, continue with daily family activities, meet together, discuss issues, and listen to each other's joys and fears in order to find solutions together. “Sing, dance, smile, nothing is impossible.” Young Pamela encourages them to be patient, talk things through, and support one another; Francis urges them to foster good communication.
