SANTO DOMINGO- Fighting together to overcome weaknesses and valuing and celebrating strengths is part of the identity of Wellington Tejeda and Deyanira Garot de Tejeda, who together with their firstborn Steven Tejeda Garot represent one of the real estate families of REMAX/Metropolitana.
In 2023, they will celebrate 22 years in the real estate business, a career they enjoy so much that it doesn't feel like work. They define family as "the foundation from which the values that shape our children's character emerge, the oasis where we find peace and harmony," they explain.
They add that the family is the entity that, when it does a good job, can produce better people in society.
They have benefited from sharing the same workspace, making a pact of commitment. “Working so much with my husband and son has made us more committed as a family, helping each other. It helps us overcome our weaknesses by valuing our strengths and virtues,” says Deyanira.
Their philosophy of life does not require them to separate roles, as they state that "when you are doing what you love so much, it is not considered work and we really enjoy it so much that there is no great division, because those of our clients who are not friends become part of them," they point out.
But really, they add, this job allows the freedom to dedicate time to partners and family.
