SANTO DOMINGO.-Mujeres Inmobiliarias, the first club made up of women in the sector, took advantage of Three Kings Day to bring joy to the children of the Corazón de Jesús Children's Home, located in Hainamosa, Mella highway, in Santo Domingo East.
A delegation from the group, headed by its president Marbel Lugo, distributed various toys to girls aged one to 18 years old at the center that shelters homeless and vulnerable girls.
“Since our founding, Mujeres Inmobiliarias has included among its purposes helping vulnerable communities, through support for foundations for homeless children,” explains Lugo.
She explains that in addition to toys, the Club provides donations for the centers' needs, such as supplies or special requests from the communities. "For example, the Corazón de Jesús Children's Home needs cement, paint, and tiles to renovate the areas and improve the girls' quality of life.".
She said that each year they select a different center with the same objective and that the funds are raised through activities that are designated for the purposes, in addition to the contributions of the members.
“As founder of Mujeres Inmobiliarias, it is our mission to bring a message of love and hope to these girls who are part of the future of our country,” said the real estate advisor.
Lugo thanked her colleagues from Mujeres Inmobiliarias for joining the cause and called on those who wish to contribute to raising resources and donations for needy centers like the one mentioned.
The Corazón de Jesús Children's Home works with orphaned girls and some who have fallen into addictions to prohibited substances, the cases it takes in most being girls who come from parents deprived of their freedom and in general those from low-income families.
