SANTO DOMINGO- The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD) reported this Friday that the instant payment may experience intermittent outages tomorrow, Saturday, July 26, due to routine testing being carried out by the Swift Corporation.
In a notice, the regulatory body points out that irregularities in the system due to the aforementioned situation could occur between 12:00 noon and 11:00 pm on Saturday.
It adds that Swift Corporation is responsible for providing financial communication services to entities worldwide, including the operation of payment flows in the country, and that it conducts this test regularly with the aim of strengthening the quality and stability of its service.
The Central Bank apologized to users of instant payments for any inconvenience this situation may cause and appealed to their understanding, emphasizing that these exercises guarantee the quality of the payment messaging service provided by the Swift Corporation.
