SANTIAGO.- The completion of Homs Health & Wellness Center, a modern complex dedicated to health and wellness tourism, one of the most complete in the Dominican Republic, meeting international standards, is projected for April 2024.

On a 50,616m² plot of land, Homs II is a mixed-use complex that will combine various sectors, offering the opportunity to satisfy different needs in one place. Similar models operate in the United States.

It will include offices, medical offices, sub-clinics, a shopping center, and a convention center, as well as 717 parking spaces. It will incorporate the use of metal structures to expedite construction and increase efficiency, while also minimizing the environmental impact on neighboring areas.

It will be a mixed complex that will integrate different health and wellness offerings.

As a project built in steel, it will be one of the most important in the country, including prefabricated micro-concrete systems, and will have methods for capturing natural energy and reusing water.

“The division of rooms is intended to serve as accommodation for companions and relatives of admitted patients, as well as for foreign professionals who travel to the city of Santiago to perform medical procedures,” states the presentation of the work, to which El Inmobiliario had access.

He points out that currently at least four rooms are requested daily for family members to stay in. “This availability would alleviate tensions and free up hospital beds, in addition to providing a comprehensive experience for patients and families, and would be less expensive and offer a competitive advantage over other providers.”.

The availability of this convention center, with an auditorium seating 400, will encourage the hosting of medical conferences, seminars, and symposia. Additionally, it will function as a rental space within the hotel's operating model to host various professional events throughout the year.
