They highlight the investment in transport infrastructure being carried out in Santiago

The 2024 edition of Expoturismo will take place from June 7 to 9.

SANTIAGO- Ramón Paulino and Yomaira Gómez, president and executive director of Expoturismo Yomaris, respectively, highlighted the investment in transport infrastructure, such as the construction of the monorail and the cable car, which is being carried out in this northern city.

They explained that these projects will not only improve urban mobility but will also promote adaptation to climate change, tourism, and regional connectivity. They highlighted the successful intervention in two linear sections of the Gurabo River, which, in addition to reducing pollution in the Yaque del Norte River, is improving access to green spaces and the quality of life for hundreds of families who lived in vulnerable conditions amidst polluted waters, according to a press release.

The event organizers shared their thoughts when announcing the details of the 27th edition of the fair, which will take place from June 7th to 9th at the Hodelpa Gran Almirante Convention Center in the city of Corazón.

In its 2024 edition, Expoturismo will address one of the trending topics in the northern region: the development of health tourism. This will be achieved through the panel "Discovering the Potential: Health Tourism in Santiago and its Global Impact," led by Amelia Reyes Mora, Vice President of the Dominican Association of Health Tourism, and Dr. Julian Sued, President of the Board of Directors of the Northern Medical Union.

Paulino and Gómez explained that the exhibition will also include various training activities and presentations of tourism products.
