Cibao Surveyors Want Property Registry to Streamline Procedures

Surveyors want the Property Registry to expedite procedures

SANTO DOMINGO.-The Dominican Association of Surveyors (Asodagrim) and the Northern Regional Codia (CodiaRN) will hold a discussion-workshop with the authorities of the National Directorate of Cadastral Surveys and the Registry of Titles in order to seek solutions for the procedures carried out by surveyors in these state entities.

The information came to light after a meeting between the directors of both unions, headed by surveyor Victor Torres, president of Asodagrim, and engineer Juan José Soto, president of CodiaRN.

During the meeting, they agreed on the technical-administrative problems that persist in the virtual office of Cadastral Surveys and the Registry of Titles, which slows down the work of surveying professionals in these State entities and could harm the Dominican real estate sector.

The meeting held at the regional headquarters of Codia was attended by Codia directors Cristian Ayala, Brenda Marte and Juan Silverio, general secretary and secretary of minutes and events respectively.

Also participating were the directors of Asodagrim Juan Jimenez, Anny Medina and Franklin Mercado, vice president, second member and legal consultant respectively; as well as the surveyors Inti Hernandez and Irvyn Geraldo.

The training activity, which will seek to clarify confusing situations that occur daily in the administrative processes of Cadastral Surveys and Title Registration of the Real Estate Registry, was scheduled for the beginning of April of this year, after the Easter holiday, according to a press release.
