Interior design experts agree that the home has become a refuge, and color is one of the key players in creating more welcoming spaces full of personality.
According to a report in Vogue Spain, nature-inspired tones will reign supreme this season. Warm browns, terracotta, caramel, and deep greens are replacing cool colors and helping to create comfortable and elegant spaces. The team at the interior design firm Westwing explained to the magazine that there's a trend away from gray and pure white, opting instead for richer, more organic hues.
Toasty yellows and wine tones gain prominence
Sklum's creative director, Marina Picos, told Vogue Spain that colors remain fundamental, but from a more refined perspective. Buttery yellows are evolving into toasted tones, while reds are moving closer to wine and terracotta, with the aim of achieving more harmonious and sophisticated spaces.
For its part, the company The Masie identifies Crimson, Electric Indigo, Bright Emerald, Amber Haze and Chocolate Sauce as key colors of the year, reflecting a commitment to spaces with more personality.
The neutrals continue, but with more character
According to interior designer Antonio Calzado, interviewed by El Mueble magazine, 2026 will be marked by a combination of serene tones and bolder colors. Among the neutrals, warm sand, stone gray, and off-white with a linen undertone stand out, while deep olive green, cobalt blue, and intense terracotta will bring character and personality to rooms.
According to the expert, the key is not to saturate the spaces, but to use these colors as "discreet protagonists", capable of bringing dynamism without breaking the harmony of the environment.
The colors change depending on each space in the house
In spring and summer, bright colors take center stage. Antonio Calzado explained to El Mueble that vibrant blues and linen whites bring freshness and lightness during the warmer months.
The magazine Arquitectura y Diseño points out that living rooms will be filled with moss greens, warm grays and soft terracotta; kitchens will opt for sage green, slate blue and warm whites; while bedrooms will lean towards sandy beige, dark green and dusty rose, favoring relaxing and comfortable environments.

The pursuit of well-being also influences new color palettes. The specialized website Tonos y Colores, based on analyses by the Pantone Color Institute, indicates that mineral greens, sandy tones, and blues with gray undertones reflect a trend that seeks to balance nature and modernity.
