New York – The Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism's booth took first place at the Dominican Taste Festival 2024 held here, followed by the Ministry of Agriculture in second place, and the Latin American Pavilion in third.
Elida Almonte, founder and director of the gastronomic and cultural event, expressed that the selection of the winners was an arduous task due to the high quality and effort shown by all the participants.
“We are very proud of our sponsors and their stands. They were all winners, but unfortunately we only have three awards and these were the winners. Thank you all and we hope to see you next year, 2025, for 'Because Eating Together is Better',” commented Almonte.
The Ministry of Tourism, led by New York Director Karina Ramos and her team, stood out as one of the most visited booths at the festival. With a dynamic team, they offered promotions, tourist information, various deals, and highlighted the Dominican Republic's tourist destinations.
In addition, their stand was enhanced with samples of Dominican gastronomy, music and culture, attracting a large number of visitors.
The Ministry of Agriculture's stand, headed by the agriculture commission led by Vice Minister Eulalio Ramírez, National Director of Greenhouses Luis Rodríguez, and Regional Director for the Northeast Julio César Estéves Guzmán, presented a wide range of agricultural products produced in the Dominican Republic, many of which are exported to the United States.
They also provided information on working in the country's fields and government support to increase agricultural production.
It was noted that there is currently a surplus of agricultural products, which benefits both producers and consumers.
"The Dominican Taste Festival 2024 has been a resounding success, highlighting the rich culture, gastronomy and agricultural products of the Dominican Republic and Latin America.".
The winning stands, especially that of the Ministry of Tourism, have left a lasting impression on visitors, showcasing the best of what these countries have to offer, a press release highlights.
Expectations are already rising for the 2025 edition, promising to be even grander and with more surprises for all attendees.
