SANTO DOMINGO,– With the aim of strengthening institutional relations and promoting the correct presentation of procedures and applications, the Real Estate Registry (RI) launched a training program for more than 500 members of the Dominican Republic Bar Association (CARD).
In these meetings that have begun in the National District, Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal and Puerto Plata, legal professionals will reinforce their knowledge about the technical provisions of the RI concerning the Registration of Titles and Cadastral Surveys, related to the requirements for actions, reception and delivery of products, states a press document.
“For the Real Estate Registry, it is of utmost importance that our users are fully informed when submitting applications and procedures to the RI, in order to minimize the rate of observations and rejection of files; therefore, we have joined efforts with CARD so that lawyers can learn, firsthand, about our technical provisions,” said Adabelle Acosta, user service manager.
The workshops will be taught by the registrars of titles and regional directors of cadastral surveys from different localities.
“Without a doubt, both institutions are walking hand in hand like one big legal family,” said Lucia Florentino, Secretary of Organization at CARD.
Regarding the RI
This department of the Judicial Council is responsible for the systematic management of the administrative bodies established in the Real Estate Registry Law, No. 108-05, dated March 23, 2005, and its implementing regulations. This department was created by Resolution No. 008-2020, dated July 7, 2020, of the Judicial Council.
