Santo Domingo. – The passion of baseball returns to the field with the official start of the 2025-2026 winter season of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), which kicks off this Wednesday, October 15, with three exciting matchups.
At the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium, the Leones del Escogido will face their eternal rivals, the Tigres del Licey, in a capital city classic that promises to ignite passions from the first pitch.
At the same time, the Gigantes del Cibao will host the Águilas Cibaeñas at the Cibao Stadium in Santiago, while the Toros del Este will face the Estrellas Orientales at the Tetelo Vargas Stadium in San Pedro de Macorís.
The games are scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m., marking the beginning of a new season full of excitement, talent, and anticipation from fans of the sport most beloved by Dominicans.
