SANTO DOMINGO.- With the support of Urban Group, one of the most recognized real estate firms in the national market, the Dominican Republic will participate for the first time from September 20th to 21st, 2023, in one of the most prominent events held in Spain, focused on capital markets and investment in the real estate sector.
This is "The District Show 2023", an event launched last year, which brings together highly relevant professionals in the real estate sector in Europe, organized by Fira Barcelona and Nebext, and which in its first edition last year 2022, attracted the visit of more than 7 thousand people, with an economic impact of 12 million euros.
“Their main focus is defining future strategies for the real estate industry and identifying projects aligned with ESG (environmental, social and governance) criteria that represent investment opportunities,” explained Taina Gómez and Mirla del Río, real estate executives from the local firm who will be part of the delegation traveling to the European country, to El Inmobiliario .
They add that the event attracts major local and international investors looking for investment opportunities. It will be held at Fira Barcelona, Spain, from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, and will showcase tourist properties, investment properties, and second homes.
“We are excited to be representing the Dominican Republic as an investment destination for the first time at this prestigious investor event in Spain. We have several reasons for choosing Spain to represent the country and Urban Group at this event,” the real estate advisors stated.
They explain that attending the exhibition gives them the opportunity to showcase the country as a renowned tourist destination and the ideal and most attractive location for both local and international investors. “Furthermore, it allows us to highlight investment opportunities in the Dominican Republic and promote the best real estate projects in the region.”.
According to the Metrópoli website, the first edition attracted 7,200 visitors, with an economic impact of 12 million euros for the Catalan capital.
Gómez and Del Río elaborate that this event attracts leaders and experts from the real estate market internationally and that being part of it gives them the opportunity to establish valuable connections with professionals, investors and potential collaborators, which will increase Urban Group's global network and open new doors to the real estate agency's business.
“Furthermore, collaboration is key in the world of real estate. Attending international events allows us to establish strategic alliances in the industry, which can open new doors and business opportunities in both directions.”.
They concluded that this participation in Spain represents an important step in their commitment to growth, learning, and promoting opportunities in the Dominican Republic. “We hope to make the most of this meeting, share our knowledge, connect with professionals from around the world, and continue serving our clients and promoting real estate development on our beautiful island,” the professionals emphasized.
About The District
Juan Velayos, president of The District, declared to the Spanish media last year that The District "is an event born with a strong commitment to providing European real estate with a distinctive event. Furthermore, it represents a great opportunity for Spain to position itself on the international real estate map.".
The District is structured around three main axes, according to its promoters: the development of capital market structures, the value of compliance with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) criteria, and the transformation of the "asset classes" of Residential, Offices, Logistics, Hospitality, Retail and Alternatives, such as student residences, senior living, Build to Rent, co-living or data centers.
