The Real Estate Registry Delegation participates in a course on Ibero-American Registry Law

SANTO DOMINGO.- A delegation from the Real Estate Registry (RI), headed by the national director of Cadastral Surveys, title registrars and regional directors, is participating in the XXIII annual course of Ibero-American Registry Law (CADRI), which is being held from October 9 to 27 in Madrid, Spain. 

Ricardo José Noboa Gañán, administrator and general secretary of the Ibero-American Registry Network (IBEROREG), highlighted in his opening remarks the progress of registry systems and the importance of generating spaces for the exchange of knowledge for the development of legal security in Ibero-America.

Also participating in the opening ceremony were the Judicial Council member, Magistrate Modesto Martínez Mejía, and the judge of the Third Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice, Moisés Alfredo Ferrer Landrón.

Ferrer Landrón explained that legal certainty promoted by solid registries is essential for the efficient functioning of a society, the promotion of investment, and economic development.

The RI delegation is composed of the national director of Cadastral Surveys, Ridomil Rojas Ferreyra; the regional director of Cadastral Surveys of the Central Department, Delkis Del Pozo Peralta; the title registrars of San Pedro de Macorís, Lina Álvarez Holguín; of Santo Domingo, Zunilda Reyes de los Santos, and of the National District, Gisselle Mateo Martínez and Joselin B. Vásquez Morel.

About the CADRI

The XXIII Annual Course on Ibero-American Registry Law is organized by the College of Property, Commercial and Chattel Registrars of Spain and by the Faculty of Law of the Autonomous University of Madrid, as part of the “General Framework Agreement between the Council of the Judiciary and the illustrious College of Property, Commercial and Chattel Registrars of Spain”, whose objective is focused on material, technical, academic and scientific collaboration, in order to ensure real estate property rights, facilitate capital investment, real estate transactions and economic development.
