Skyhigh plans to connect Miami with Puerto Plata

The airline Skyhigh Dominicana plans to open a new flight route from Miami International Airport to Gregorio Luperón International Airport in Puerto Plata, after receiving a request from travel agencies and tour operators in Miami.

The possibility of connecting the cities of Miami and Puerto Plata with a direct flight was raised within the framework of the Dominican Republic Trade Show in Miami, organized by the Ministry of Tourism.

At the event, the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, urged the Vice President of Skyhigh Dominicana, Cesarina Beauchamp, to respond to the request from travel agencies and stated that he would offer all possible support to achieve this direct flight and increase the arrival of tourists to Puerto Plata.

Currently, the airline connects Santo Domingo and Punta Cana with several Caribbean islands and from the United States with Miami, Providence and Tampa; and in South America with Caracas, Venezuela, connecting the Caribbean with North America, Central America and South America.
