Today I want to invite you on a transformative journey, a path that will lead us to discover the power of sisterhood in our lives and in our industry. Let's imagine ourselves sitting in a cozy living room, sharing tea and our stories, creating a space where vulnerability and strength intertwine. This week marks the start of the first edition of the Sisterhood Route, an initiative in which I seek to create vibrant spaces where unity and support among us shine brightly. In a world where we often find ourselves competing, sometimes even unconsciously, it's time to remember that together we are stronger.
As you know, this past March 8th we celebrated International Women's Day, a commemoration rooted in women's struggles for equality and labor rights in the early 20th century. This day is not only a reminder of the progress made, but also a call to action and a call to foster unity. Therefore, I want to emphasize the importance of promoting sisterhood, a word derived from the Latin "soror," meaning sister, evoking the idea of family ties and a deep commitment among women to support one another.
Given that, as the Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies (AEI) points out, more than 60% of the real estate sector is made up of women, we highlight our undeniable impact on the industry. Sisterhood can be a driving force for change and growth.
Let's imagine an environment where each of us feels supported, where we share knowledge, experiences, and resources. What would happen if, instead of seeing our colleagues as competitors, we saw them as allies? The answer is clear: this would have a positive impact on our industry. By fostering a spirit of sisterhood, we not only improve our own career paths but also uplift the entire real estate community.

To begin implementing sisterhood practices in our daily lives, it's essential that we connect authentically. Take a moment to get to know your colleagues; organize a virtual coffee or an informal get-together. Ask about their projects and listen to their stories. Sharing what you know not only enriches others but also strengthens your own confidence.
Celebrate your colleagues' achievements. Recognizing and celebrating each other's successes creates a positive and supportive environment. A simple congratulatory message can make a big difference to someone's day. It's also important to create a support group where you can share challenges and successes. This space can be a safe haven where everyone feels comfortable expressing their concerns and receiving advice. And, if you have the opportunity, mentor women who are just starting out in the industry. Your experience can be invaluable to them and contribute to their growth.
By adopting these practices, we not only cultivate a supportive environment, but we also contribute to a cultural shift in the real estate industry. Sisterhood is not just a concept; it's an action that can transform our lives and careers. Each of us has a story to tell, and together, our voices can resonate powerfully.
