RE/MAX closes virtual fair with loan applications totaling RD$1.848 billion

Most of the applications came from Dominicans living abroad.

SANTO DOMINGO.-During its virtual fair held last April, RE/MAX Dominican Republic, with the support of La Nacional Savings and Loan Association, obtained loan applications exceeding RD$1,848 million pesos, generated among nearly 400 clients with purchase intentions attracted during the commercial event.

“My Own Roof” was an innovative initiative that offered national and international clients over 24,000 properties for virtual selection and subsequent reservation through in-person visits. The options included both completed properties and projects under construction with future delivery dates.

During the 30 days of April, the franchise's more than 500 sales associates advised those interested in purchasing or reserving units according to their personal and family budget, a press release highlights.

He notes that, in addition, real estate agents assisted their clients in applying for a mortgage loan with the National Savings and Loan Association. These facilities were largely requested by Dominicans in the diaspora who, thanks to the virtual format of the fair, were also able to participate in the event by investing in properties in their native country.

“We are very pleased with the results of our virtual real estate fair, which facilitated the opportunity for a wide range of buyers to obtain a property title. The Dominican Republic currently occupies a privileged position in the world with opportunities for secure real estate investment and a diverse range of properties: attracting investment is an important part of the contribution that our socially responsible company makes to the country,” said Mélido Marte, regional director of RE/MAX Dominican Republic.

Marte elaborated that clients appreciated the favorable conditions remaining in place throughout the month, allowing them the opportunity to visit properties at their leisure. Acquiring real estate is, in most cases, a family's most significant asset, thus requiring expert advice and sufficient time to make an informed investment decision.

He indicated that the entire real estate ecosystem benefits from an initiative like this. On one hand, buyers find specific benefits tailored to their needs; on the other, builders and housing developers receive a boost in sales for their projects in a short period; on the other hand, the financial institution fulfills its objective of providing mortgage financing so that interested parties can access housing; and, no less importantly, each and every one of the associates of RE/MAX Dominican Republic joins in, through intelligent collaboration, a commercial dynamic that enhances their work under the umbrella of a real estate brand with a global reach.

For his part, Joelvis Díaz, manager of indirect sales and foreclosed properties at La Nacional Savings and Loan Association, stated that “all the financial institution's business officers were attentive to providing expedited service for capturing and approving loan applications, aware that the funds are essential for our clients to acquire properties. A comprehensive service model consists of cooperation between real estate agents and our institution's executives.”.

He added that with the special rates offered during the fair, the monthly payments for buyers are perfectly tailored to the diverse range of available budgets. Furthermore, with the fixed 14% interest rate for the life of the mortgage, customers have the peace of mind that their payments will not change and can better plan their long-term finances.

The press release highlights that interested parties were able to learn about the details of the digital fair, the available inventory, and apply for mortgage loans online during the event. “In addition, 8 of the 37 offices that make up the RE/MAX Dominican Republic network, located throughout the country, made stops to welcome their clients to their offices, especially those who were having trouble deciding among the various property options. The La Nacional Savings and Loan Association did the same, making its main branches in Santo Domingo, Santiago, La Romana, and Bávaro-Punta Cana available and welcoming its clients, along with RE/MAX advisors, with special and extended hours so that everyone could take advantage of this synergy of acquiring properties with the best rates on the market.”
