Miami, United States – Qik Banco Digital Dominicano, SA – Multiple Bank, a subsidiary of Grupo Popular and the first neobank in the Dominican Republic, won gold at the Financial Innovators in the Americas Awards, in the Financial Inclusion category, with its Crea Crédito program, which makes it easy for its clients to create or restore their credit history in a practical and simple way.
The ninth edition of this award, organized by Fintech Americas, highlights the projects and innovators whose initiatives are transforming the financial industry in Latin America and the lives of the people they serve.
In that sense, they highlighted the impact in terms of financial inclusion of Crea Crédito by Qik Banco Digital, which accompanies people in the process of creating good financial habits, which is key for them to achieve the goals they so desire.
Currently, thousands of Qik customers have started or restored their credit history, thanks to the Crea Crédito program that allows them to save through a guarantee deposited in their Qik Account, which makes it possible for them to acquire the credit card, receiving 4% annual interest and personalized support through the Qik App.
Recently, the first group of clients who successfully built or restored their credit history graduated, thanks to excellent credit card management. This has allowed them to access their deposited funds and gain formal access to credit, resulting in greater financial well-being and increased opportunities for future success.
Financial inclusion as a goal
Arturo Grullón, general manager and executive vice president of Qik, explained that, since its inception, Qik has aimed to be a leading bank for financial inclusion in the country.

Qik, a 100% digital multiple bank, was launched in November 2022 and completed its first year and a half of operations, thus strengthening an unprecedented category in the local market.
The first Dominican neobank has already reached over 300,000 clients and RD$1.267 billion in deposits. In addition, the Qik credit card saw 76,162 activations, and Qik clients made 3.4 million purchases with it.
