SANTO DOMINGO- Representatives of the board of directors of the Real Estate Registry participated this month in the XXII International Congress of IPRA-CINDER held in Porto, Portugal, where the operation of registration systems and their role in preventive legal security were discussed.
During the event, Ricardo Noboa, the national director of title registration and secretary general of the Ibero-American Registry Network (IBEROREG), served as moderator in one of the panels related to "Globalization, the need for security in real estate transactions and the creation of instruments that enable it.".
The congress served as a platform for exchanging the best national and international practices in registration matters with transnational relevance in a dynamic and modern perspective of the organization, encompassing the functioning of registration systems and their role in preventive legal security.
Given the relevance of registration activity in legal transactions and its essential role in matters related to collective interests, a work agenda was addressed aligned with the objectives of sustainable development set by the UN and the European Union in their economic, territorial, and environmental dimensions, as well as the legal demands arising from globalization and the information society, currently resized by the demands derived from the pandemic.

The International Property Registries Association, or International Center for Registry Law, is an independent, open-structure, international organization that brings together academic and professional institutions that are related in some way to the specialty of Real Estate Registry Law.
The origin of the association dates back to December 2, 1972, when the founding document was signed in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, which gave shape to an organization that year after year promotes the exchange of knowledge on this subject throughout the world.
