Organize your finances: the new financial education campaign launched by the SB

The initiative promotes tools for budgeting, understanding credit history, and improving personal financial planning

SANTO DOMINGO – A car breakdown, a medical emergency, or an unexpected loss of income can completely disrupt a family's finances. In response to this reality, the Superintendency of Banks (SB) launched its financial education campaign, "Organize Your Wallet,". This initiative aims to promote financial planning habits and better money management.

According to information published by the entity on its institutional website, the campaign seeks to encourage the population to use tools that allow them to organize their budget, prepare for unforeseen expenses, and make more informed financial decisions.

Budgeting, credit, and financial planning

The SB explained that, through the ProUsuario application, citizens can access a budget planner, credit history inquiries, as well as articles, guides and educational videos aimed at strengthening knowledge about personal finances.

According to the Superintendency, these resources are part of a strategy to promote greater financial education and encourage the responsible use of banking services, with the goal of helping people better manage their income and reduce the economic impact of unexpected situations.

The Superintendent of Banks, Alejandro Fernández W., indicated, according to the institutional publication, that the initiative is part of the actions aimed at promoting the so-called "financial citizenship", a concept that seeks to ensure that the population not only has access to the financial system, but also understands how to use its products and services responsibly.

A campaign that will reach different media outlets

The Superintendency of Banks reported that the campaign will be disseminated through social networks, radio, audiovisual media and outdoor advertising, with the purpose of broadening the reach of the educational content.

He also noted that the ProUsuario app is available for free on Android and iOS devices and includes tools designed to support users' financial planning, as well as information related to protecting their rights within the financial system.
