SANTO DOMINGO- "There is no sector that handles more risks than the construction sector," says legal expert Paola Romero, when analyzing the four basic principles of that industry.
The second point he makes is that construction is a financial business; he adds that who you're buying from is more important than what you're buying. He maintains that a trust is not a guarantee of legal security.
Romero is a prominent lawyer with experience in corporate business, prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing, financial markets law, administrative law and regulatory compliance.
“Speaking with Certainty about Legal Security” was the title of the conference given by the professional, who repeated her presentation for the second time at the CENI Expo Forum, held last June in Santiago de los Caballeros.
In his presentation, he spoke about the five ways to bring legal certainty to clients:

Investigating how the project is being financed is one of the tips offered by the expert, who also suggests vetting both the seller and the buyer.
“Get trained, acquire basic legal and tax knowledge. Seek advice not only to sell real estate but also to ensure legal security,” the expert explained to more than 200 people who attended the meeting.
