SANTO DOMINGO.- The Ministry of Labor invites interested individuals to participate in a job fair for the hotel sector, which will be held this Friday, August 30th in Miches, El Seibo, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, in the Assembly Hall of the El Seibo Fire Department, located on Manuela Díez Jiménez Avenue.
A press release indicates that there are 1228 vacancies for this fair: night clerk,reception assistant, cashier receptionist, reception supervisor, guest services agent, guest services manager, butler, housekeeping assistant, chambermaids, chambermaid staff, public areas manager, houseman, linen attendant, secretary, public areas supervisor, and rooms supervisor.
There are also opportunities for laundry operator, valet, press operator, laundry supervisor, restaurant hostess, bar assistant, bartender, waiter, restaurant captain, bar manager,maître d', and bar supervisor.
The note also specifies that there are vacancies for kitchen assistant, butcher/fish chef, pantry chef, executive chef, baker chef, pastry chef, second cook, kitchen manager, head of cleaning (chef stewards), sous chef, cleaning supervisor (stewards), cleaning staff (stewards), entertainer, choreographer, athlete, excursion manager, head of entertainment and sports, and corporate audiovisual technician.
In addition, we need a warehouse assistant, cost assistant, human resources assistant, general cashier, accommodation manager, training manager, dining room manager, recruitment manager, purchasing manager, merchandise receiver, purchasing driver, maintenance assistant, rooms supervisor, laundry supervisor, maintenance supervisor, and painting supervisor.
We also require a plumbing supervisor, refrigeration supervisor, kitchen technician, laundry technician, painting technician, plumbing technician, refrigeration technician, security guard, camera operator, security supervisor, sales supervisor, and salesperson.
The Ministry of Labor clarifies that the recruitment process depends on each company and some of them take a little longer, due to the nature of their vacancies.
