MICHES, EL SEIBO– Temptation Miches Resort and Temptation Grand Miches Resort were the first hotels for which President Luis Abinader broke ground just 19 days into his presidency. They were inaugurated yesterday by the president.
The two proposals for stays, one for couples and the other a resort for the whole family, are from the Mexican business group Original Group and are expected to boost the economy of the municipality and, together with other projects, turn Miches into a tourist hub.
Recently, David Collado, Minister of Tourism, announced that the country will return as a sponsor to the FITUR 2023 fair, and will present the Miches proposal as the new tourism offering of the Dominican Republic.
Ángel García, the Dominican partner in the hotel, reported that there are currently 725 hotel employees who are already registered with the Social Security Treasury.
The hotels
The Temptation Miches Resort has 382 suites and the Temptation Grand Miches Resort has 114, for a total of 496 rooms.
The project involved an investment of 180 million dollars, of which the Banco de Reservas financed 92 million dollars to the consortium, according to the administrator of that entity, Samuel Pereyra.
It features seven restaurants, eight bars, two swimming pools and a gym, under the all-inclusive model.
The Temptation Grand is a hotel that offers a vacation experience exclusively for couples. Guests are guided by "playmakers" through stimulating activities. It features a Jacuzzi Lounge and a clothing-optional pool, a playroom, and an intimate space for couples. Meanwhile, the Temptation Miches Resort caters to independent travelers, families, and all types of guests.
Other works
President Abinader also inaugurated works built by the Government to facilitate the development of tourism in the area.
With an investment of 51,154,560.29 million pesos, the governor inaugurated the access road to Costa Esmeralda Beach, a police station, and a parking lot.
