The business groups De Valle and 7Palms announced, within the framework of the ITB-Bellin tourism fair, the construction of a new hotel for Miches, one of the new tourist destinations that the Dominican Republic is currently promoting.
The new resort will join La Quinta's 900 hotels worldwide and will also be part of the new La Quinta by Wyndham hotel collection. The investors announced that the new construction represents a projected investment of two hundred million dollars.
Edward De Valle, CEO of the company that bears his last name, explained that the new La Quinta by Wyndham hotel in the municipality of Miches will have 79 rooms, adding 292 rooms of this brand in the country.
He explained that the living spaces will feature large open areas for co-working, breakfast, and a meeting and event room. In addition, there will be a wellness center and a swimming pool available for guests.
The businessmen explained the positive impact of the construction, which will generate 200 new jobs directly, in addition to the 450 jobs already created during the construction phase of La Quinta Puerto Plata and La Quinta San Francisco de Macorís.
Meanwhile, brothers Carlos Bernardo and Carlos Rafael Manzano, representatives of the 7Palms Group, thanked the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, for the growth of that sector.
"The Berlin Wall fell on November 9, 1989, and for Miches today that wall that divided hotel tourism from our beautiful people in the area is falling, and what better setting than ITB Berlin to sign an agreement," the representatives stated.
Grupo del Valle is a financial group whose general objectives consist of developing hotels and real estate products throughout the Dominican Republic, extending its operations to Pedernales, Montecristi, Manzanillo, Puerto Plata, Juan Dolio, San Francisco de Macorís, Santo Domingo and now Miches.
For its part, 7Palms defines itself on its website as a conglomerate of companies that develops large residential, commercial and hotel construction projects in high urban and tourist profile areas in growing cities.
