The work carried out by the State Land Titling Technical Unit, together with the Dominican Agrarian Institute, covered a total geographical area of 782,736.99 square meters.
From November of last year to date, 1,419 title certificates have been delivered by the Dominican Government to families in Monte Plata, opening up new credit opportunities for them, as they have backing through their land.
On November 23 of last year, President Luis Abinader delivered 256 title certificates in various communities of that same demarcation, last March more than 600, while yesterday he delivered 535 property titles to the same number of families in the municipal district of Majagual, a town founded during the 1930s by families from the Cibao, and which borders the Los Haitises National Park.
The communities of Centro del Pueblo, Balsa Mala, El Play, Francisquito Abajo, La Gallera, La Laguna, Mono Mojao and Rincón Solo were the beneficiaries.
President Luis Abinader emphasized to the landowners the value their lands acquire from now on and the support their titles represent for accessing bank loans.
Abinader asked the town's church priest to act as an arbitrator to resolve situations, some of them family-related, that have prevented the transfer of a portion of the 535 titles.

Investment
The government's investment in issuing these bonds was RD$42 million 800 thousand pesos, which represents an individual cost of RD$80,000 thousand pesos.
"This is the third delivery we have made in Monte Plata: the first on November 23, 2021, the second on March 20 of this year, and with this one today, August 11, we have a total of 1,419 title certificates delivered," the official stated.
For his part, the director of the Dominican Agrarian Institute, Francisco Guillermo García, expressed his great satisfaction in contributing to President Luis Abinader's social policy aimed at improving the quality of life of the poorest sectors of the population.
“Today, thanks to the government of change, 535 families will emerge from the uncertainty in which they have lived for decades, leaving behind their undocumented status to become the legitimate owners of their plots of land, homes, and building lots.”
The settlement's land is dedicated to mixed livestock farming, but also to the production of corn, squash, sweet potato, pigeon peas, yam, plantain, cassava, cacao, taro, passion fruit, coffee, sour orange, banana, among other crops.
On behalf of the graduates, Pablo Antonio Delgado expressed the emotion he feels at being one of the protagonists of receiving his property title.
