Premium Residences and the De Valle Group have begun construction of a modern 126-room hotel in San Francisco de Macorís, with an investment exceeding US$12 million and a projected opening date of summer 2025.
The hotel belongs to the renowned international brand La Quinta, and in its construction phase alone it will generate about 500 direct and indirect jobs and another 200 when it becomes operational by the summer of 2025.
The new building will feature four retail spaces, an elegant lobby, lobby bar and restaurant, coworking spaces and a gym where locals can purchase coworking and fitness day passes, a swimming pool and poolside bar, and the only rooftop lounge and bar in the entire region.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held with the presence of the main investors and provincial authorities, who highlighted the importance of the hotel in such a productive area as San Francisco de Macorís.
The event was led by businessman Franklin Romero and Ivanov Collado, the main shareholders, as well as Edward De Valle II and Curt Mc Guir, the master franchisors and exclusive representatives of La Quinta by Wyndham Hotels and Resorts in the Dominican Republic.
"The construction of La Quinta San Francisco de Macorís is a significant achievement for our city, its people, and Premium Residences," said Romero, president of Premium Residences.
Collado reported that the hotel's construction is progressing according to schedule and its opening is planned for the summer of 2025.
Edward De Valle II, Master Franchisee of La Quinta by Wyndham Hotels and Resorts and president of the GDV Group, highlighted the political stability and the good investment climate that exists in the country.
