Hilton Garden Inn hotel opens in La Romana

The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, and the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, led the inauguration of the first Hilton Inn hotel in the Dominican Republic last weekend.

A luxurious hotel with 130 rooms, most with views of the sea and Catalina Island, with an investment of 25 million dollars, which was built on a 5,000 M2 lot.

The complex features a swimming pool, event rooms, and outdoor areas, all ideal for all types of celebrations such as social and corporate events, as well as two bars and a restaurant.

The hotel also offers a shuttle service to Catalina Island, a journey of approximately 10 minutes. Its principal shareholder is former Major League Baseball player Edwin Encarnación.

The hotel infrastructure will generate 85 direct jobs and will have a positive impact on the socio-economic development of the eastern region, representing another tourist attraction.

The ribbon-cutting event was attended by the hotel's investors, Riverhome Capital SAS and its main shareholder Edwin Encarnación, and Hilton executives, including Jorge Giannattasio, and Alan Roberts, brand leader, Hilton Garden Inn.
