Amid the unstoppable growth of the eastern zone, Grupo Nivel announced the signing of an agreement with Marriott International, Inc., a global hospitality company, for the development of a “City Express by Marriott” hotel, which will be part of the Aura Boulevard mixed-use real estate project, whose construction began last March with its first groundbreaking.
The hotel will have 111 rooms and will be one of the main components of Aura Boulevard, a mixed-use project located on the Frank Rainieri Boulevard del Este Tourist Avenue in Punta Cana.
“This agreement strengthens Aura Boulevard’s value proposition and represents significant support for investors who have committed to the development,” explained Marcos García Socio, who gave the opening remarks, highlighting that the addition of an international hotel brand represents an important step for the project’s development.
The hotel has been designed to cater to both tourists and business travelers, in a destination that continues to consolidate itself as one of the main tourist hubs in the Caribbean.
900 residential units
Aura Boulevard will feature approximately 900 residential units and boasts a strategic location near Punta Cana International Airport. It will also include a shopping plaza, integrating residential, commercial, and hotel spaces within a single complex, according to a press release.
He explains that as part of its lifestyle proposal, the project will also incorporate wellness and recreational amenities, including two water parks, two lazy rivers, a paddle tennis court, coworking spaces and areas designated for wellness and recreation, designed for residents, visitors and guests of the complex.
The announcement of the agreement was made during the groundbreaking ceremony for the project, an event that brought together investors, business partners, and representatives from the real estate and tourism sectors.
Following the groundbreaking ceremony, the organizers hosted a reception for the guests, where details of the residential project and its role in the area's tourism development were presented.
