Grupo Bricket will develop Araya Punta Cana, a sustainable project with 462 units in the first phase

The complex will be built in partnership with AFI Universal and is the first development in the area with EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) certification, awarded by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI).

SANTO DOMINGO.– Last week, Grupo Bricket, a Venezuelan-owned company with over 20 years in the national market, officially presented Araya Punta Cana, a new residential development that in its first phase will add 462 units to the country's main tourist destination.

“Araya is not just a residential complex, it’s a philosophy of life. Inspired by the Taíno meaning of ‘new beginning,’ this project combines contemporary architecture, community living with a deep respect for the natural environment,” explained its promoters during the launch held at the Peperoni restaurant in the Dominican capital.

During the presentation, the president and founder of the group, engineer Mariano Briceño Yépez; the vice president Mariano José Briceño; Diego Mera from AFI Universal; and the architect Nora Aristizábal spoke, sharing the vision behind the project and highlighting Grupo Bricket's more than 47-year history of promoting development through increasingly sustainable housing solutions with international experience.

They highlighted that it is a residential tourism project that redefines real estate development in the region with a proposal based on sustainability, well-being and innovation.

The meeting brought together real estate leaders, investors, and strategic partners, where executives emphasized that the new development stands as a bold and pioneering venture in the Caribbean. "It is the first development in the area with EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) certification, a guarantee of construction and operational quality, awarded by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), of the World Bank, which reaffirms its commitment to energy efficiency, water conservation, and the use of sustainable materials," they said.

They noted that the new real estate development will be located just minutes from Punta Cana International Airport, health and educational centers, shopping, golf, and iconic beaches.

"ARAYA comprises 462 units in its first stage, integrating functional design into an organized community concept, with amenities designed for active living, security and tranquility, in a carefully preserved natural environment.".

With this initiative, its promoters reaffirm their commitment to responsible urban development and position the new proposal as a model of a conscious, intelligent, and visionary community for those who are committed to a sustainable future in the Caribbean.
