SANTO DOMINGO.– Gerdau Metaldom urged its customers to remain vigilant to avoid becoming victims of individuals using the company's brand, posing as salespeople to offer the brand's products through "deceitful and fraudulent maneuvers."
"We have received reports that individuals outside our company, through malicious and fraudulent maneuvers and the unauthorized use of our name, brand and logo, have been impersonating supposed employees, salespeople, distributors and/or commercial representatives of our company," the steel company stated in a press release.
Gerdau Metaldom reminds its customers that the official payment channels and authorized contacts to communicate with the company are the formal sales teams, support teams and official digital platforms.
The company asks its customers and the general public to remain vigilant to avoid falling into the trap of such actions, validating any offer they receive for its products and services through the brand's official channels.
"And to immediately inform the competent authorities about any unusual contact or approach from suspects that they receive," states the communiqué, which is undated but is posted on the homepage of the company's official website.
