Frank Rainieri highlights the opportunity that Baní has ​​to develop fishing

Businessman Frank Rainieri, founder of Grupo Puntacana, participated yesterday Thursday in a discussion organized by the Baní Tourism and Production Cluster, Inc., held in Puntarena.

There, a rapprochement and communication exchange was achieved between businessmen in the area, to promote the development of sustainable tourism in the Peravia province.

During the discussion, Rainieri shared anecdotes about his learning experience in the tourism industry, answered questions from the guests, and highlighted qualities such as vision, perseverance, and hard work as essential elements for success in any work field.

He highlighted the great opportunity that Baní has ​​to develop fishing and sailing niches as unique attractions.

“For me, it is a privilege and an honor to share my experiences at different national and international events and platforms. I like to emphasize the importance of tourism, as it is one of the fastest-growing industries in the world,” said Frank Rainieri.

He said that tourism mobilizes societies because it permeates all areas of a country's life. This allows for social mobility and, consequently, also brings peace

At the meeting, Juan Tejeda, president of the tourism cluster, valued the importance of Rainieri, as a visionary businessman, having considered Baní and its natural riches to invest in as a new tourist hub in the south, taking into account the experience and exemplary trajectory that has always characterized him in favor of the best causes for the development, economy and international positioning of the Dominican Republic as a country brand.

Tejeda, who also served as moderator of the meeting, highlighted the importance of this scenario in promoting the natural wealth, values, benefits and customs that define the cultural identity of the southern zone, especially the town of Baní.

“This space for dialogue has become ideal for the development of activities specific to the tourism industry, because it stimulates the economy and new ventures, while also raising awareness among citizens about the care and protection of the province's natural resources.”.

Peravia, Baní, is considered the 8th Tourist Pole of the Dominican Republic and has an exquisite gastronomic offer, elements of the unique magical religious syncretism such as the rhythm of the Sarandunga, the sand promontories of the dunes of Las Calderas, beaches, rivers, waterfalls, rapids and mountains that make the province of Peravia a destination demanded by tourists.

In addition, there is religious and historical tourism with the San Martín de Porres Sanctuary, the Nuestra Señora de Regla Cathedral and the glory achieved by General Máximo Gómez, liberator of Cuba, among other places in the area.

The businesspeople present during the lunch and discussion are part of a portfolio that includes restaurants, bakeries, hotels, beach villa projects, hardware stores, the construction industry, corporate communications, among others.
