The Dominican Port Authority (APORDOM) announced that it will participate in the Seatrade Cruise Med 2024 fair, an event that will take place for the second time in Malaga, Spain next Wednesday and Thursday.
The international meeting brings together leaders and experts from the cruise industry with the aim of discovering new opportunities and establishing strategic connections, in a space for negotiations focused on increasing cruise routes.
Jean Luis Rodríguez, executive director of APORDOM, accompanied by the president of the Port Authority's Board of Directors and president of the Presidential Commission for Port Modernization and Security, Alejandro Campos, traveled to this location to represent the Dominican Republic through the port institution, as part of Seatrade Cruise Med 2024, where a stand for the entity will be located and meetings will be organized with cruise lines, with the aim of attracting new visitors and thus contributing to the growth of the ports in the country.
In this edition, the Dominican Port Authority will represent the country to continue positioning itself in the cruise industry on Dominican soil, where national and international authorities, collaborators from the tourism sector, visitors interested in travel topics, 180 exhibitors, more than 80 countries and cruise professionals will be in attendance.
During Seatrade, representatives and executives from ports, tourist destination managers, and companies offering cruise services in the Dominican Republic will socialize from their booths at the fair, according to a press release.
Seatrade Cruise Med 2024, with two days of content and a full trade fair, is the main event related to the cruise industry in the Mediterranean, offering the possibility of finalizing negotiations with new shipping lines, visits to different countries of the world and increasing existing calls at tourist destinations.
APORDOM Agenda
Starting Tuesday the 10th, APORDOM's executive director, Jean Luis Rodríguez, will hold a signing agreement with the Motril Port Authority, followed by a tour of the commercial, fishing and sports port of Motril, located in the Spanish municipality of Motril.
In addition, he will visit the Ferry terminal in Denia and hold meetings with executives and representatives of Balearia.
The Seatrade Cruise Med 2024 event will begin with the welcome ceremony and will continue with conferences, private meetings, panel discussions, exhibitions, and more.
