Dajabón prepares to showcase its tourism potential at an ecotourism fair

SANTO DOMINGO– This Tuesday, October 21, the Ecotourism Fair “Dajabón: Live the Experience!” will take place, an event that seeks to highlight the tourist, economic, and cultural value of the border province. It will be held at the Hotel Embajador, Embassy Garden Ballroom, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:40 p.m., with a program that includes conferences, panels, exhibitions, and artistic performances.

The opening ceremony will be attended by Vice President Raquel Peña, who will deliver the main speech.

During the day, topics such as the circular economy, green routes, community tourism, rural entrepreneurship, and territorial coordination will be addressed. A panel of influencers with experiences in emerging destinations will also be presented, as well as the panel “Dajabón; It’s Now,” which will bring together mayors from the region and community leaders to discuss local development.

The agenda also includes conferences on ecotourism public policies, tax incentives in border areas, opportunities for MSMEs, and territorial branding strategies.

Representatives from institutions such as PROMIPYME, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the General Directorate of Migration, the Border Development Council, and the General Directorate of Customs will participate.

The fair is presented as a space for inter-institutional and community exchange, aimed at positioning Dajabón as a strategic destination within the national sustainable development agenda.
