SANTO DOMINGO.-As part of the commitment to the Water Pact, which seeks to reduce the gap in the availability of water resources for all inhabitants of the country, the executive director of the National Institute of Drinking Water and Sewerage (Inapa), Wellington Arnaud, visited the Corvi industry, a leader in the manufacture of PVC pipes.
The working meeting established an action plan that will raise the level of quality in water and sewer facilities through standards and regulations that will unify criteria at the national level on product quality standards and monitoring.
Since the beginning of last year, the Dominican Government has been developing a cycle of high-impact projects, mainly focused on upgrading water distribution networks, including aqueducts and sewers, in the National District and the provinces of Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, Peravia, Pedernales, Independencia, San Juan, Azua, Santiago de los Caballeros, Santiago Rodríguez, Monte Cristi, La Vega, San José de Ocoa, La Altagracia, San Pedro de Macorís, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, El Seibo, Hermanas Mirabal, Duarte, and Espaillat.
Corvi is committed to raising the quality of PVC piping systems, including sanitary, pressure, and electrical systems. It is the only company in the Dominican Republic with products certified under international standards.
