SANTO DOMINGO.- AEI, the Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies, announced the creation of its AEI Women's division, which will be chaired by Claudia Castillo, former president of the entity, with an accumulated experience of 30 years in the real estate career.
The new appendix of the organization that groups real estate agencies and agents, proposes to benefit the women affiliated with the guild in different aspects, through various initiatives, aimed at favoring the majority population in that field, as represented by women.
“We have a plan to empower, promote, train and enhance women in the real estate sector through different instruments that we will share with everyone later,” said architect Castillo, speaking to El Inmobiliario.
The professional was also recently appointed to head CILA Mujeres, the Latin American Real Estate Confederation, an organization that brings together 19 associations from 18 Latin American countries, with 750,000 real estate brokers in its membership.
“We have been working with CILA since I was president of AEI and I have been appointed representative of the Dominican Republic of CILA Women for 2023, to address issues of the local associations of each country and propose solutions,” Castillo explained.
More experience
Claudia Castillo has been a member of the AEI for 8 years, and was president from 2018-2020. She has a 30-year career dedicated to housing development, starting at the National Housing Bank, in project development and promotion, interim loans, real estate appraisal, sales management, among other activities.
She is an architect, a graduate of UNIBE (Universidad Nacional Iberoamericana), with postgraduate studies at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She also serves on the board of directors of FEM (Federación de Mujeres Empresarias), where she dedicates her time to the development of women entrepreneurs and businesswomen in various fields.
