SANTO DOMINGO.- Cement and concrete producer and marketer Argos Dominicana announced that it received the bronze level accreditation of the "Gender Equality Seal for companies and organizations Igualando RD", becoming the first company in its sector in the country to obtain it.
In a statement, the company maintains that the Igualando RD Seal is a regional and global initiative of the UNDP, led in the Dominican Republic by the Ministry of Women, with the purpose of transforming work structures and human resource management in a fair and equitable way, making the company an active part in the search for solutions that allow the elimination of the inequalities and gaps that mostly affect women.
This process, the document says, ensures that women and men have equal opportunities to access training and leadership positions based on individual skills.
It adds that the seal initiative promotes companies and organizations to incorporate good labor practices into their management, mainly in the areas of work-life balance, access to work, equal pay, elimination of discrimination associated with sexual and workplace harassment, among others.
"For Argos, receiving this recognition is the result of its commitment to becoming an increasingly equitable company and to offering decent jobs, optimal work environments and employment opportunities free of bias," the statement said.
He explains that the evaluation highlighted recruitment and selection practices, remuneration and compensation, internal and external communication, the organization's profile, and productivity.
