SANTO DOMINGO- Banco Popular Dominicano simultaneously inaugurated three new bank branches, one in Higüey, another in the National District and the third in Santo Domingo Norte, adding 60 new employees to its service network.
A press release states that the three new offices are part of the hybrid branch model, through which the bank promotes the integration of traditional banking services with self-service based on digitalization and an advisory level provided by qualified staff serving each of these locations.
The event was attended by the Superintendent of Banks, Alejandro Fernández, and the CEO of the banking entity, Christopher Paniagua.
In detailing the information, the financial institution explained that at the Higüey branch, the customer will have access to ample spaces for personalized service on the platform, a self-service area with access to the bank's digital channels, as well as a teller area with 10 positions, one of them adapted for people with disabilities.
This office is also powered by solar panels, adding to the bank's network of photovoltaic offices, which already reaches 31% of the total number of offices, the note says.
The other two new branches are located in the Habitat Center Tower, on Winston Churchill Avenue, in the National District, and another in the Colina Centro shopping plaza, in Santo Domingo North.
They also offer visitors service areas on the platform, nine teller stations at Torre Hábitat Center and eight at Colina Centro to facilitate transactions, and self-service areas to save time. Both branches have been designed with accessibility in mind for people with disabilities.
These three branches have state-of-the-art ATMs, including units that accept commercial cash deposits, as well as an attendance and queue management system, which increases the speed of the processes.
During the institutional event, Christopher Paniagua, CEO of Banco Popular, highlighted that “the simultaneous inauguration of three modern branches takes place in the context ofsustained in the country's economy, which leads the region's indicators, and successful management by the monetary and regulatory authorities of the national financial sector.”
According to the entity, the executive acknowledged the optimism with which national and international investors continue to observe the macroeconomic performance and social peace that the Dominican Republic is experiencing.
Better services
Regarding the new offices, Francisco Ramírez, executive vice president of Personal Banking and Branches at Banco Popular, explained that the bank continues to strengthen its national coverage, offering increasingly more and better financial services to the country.
“Thanks to our constant innovations and the robust technological infrastructure that we have consistently strengthened over the years, today we provide Dominicans with a highly efficient banking management model designed to meet their needs at all times, saving them time and improving their service experience,” the executive added.
Furthermore, Ramírez assured that “with these new infrastructures we want customers to continue feeling welcomed and supported, as has been the tradition in the almost 60 years that our banking institution has existed.”.
