Banco Popular is awarded Best Company to Work For for the twelfth time

 SANTO DOMINGO.- Banco Popular Dominicano was revalidated for the twelfth time as the Best Company to Work For in the Dominican Republic, according to the annual study conducted by Mercado magazine, in which the bank stood out thanks to its wide range of initiatives that seek the integral development of the more than 7,800 employees on its staff.

In the study, Banco Popular obtained a satisfaction index of 93.43% among its employees, placing it in first position out of a total of 125 companies listed in the ranking of Mercado magazine.

"From monetary incentives to personal and professional development programs, this organization cares about the overall well-being of its team members. Without a doubt, working at this company is synonymous with growth, development, and well-being," the magazine states in its explanation of the award given to Popular.

Mrs. Antonia Antón de Hernández, Senior Executive Vice President of Human Resources, Cultural Transformation, Credit Administration and Compliance at Popular, indicated that the financial organization's values-based culture is the driving force behind every action and decision.

In addition to being the Best Company to Work For, according to the study by Mercado magazine, Banco Popular is the company with the most training hours given to its employees, with approximately 1.7 million hours.  

The Bank also ranked second among companies with the most promotions, 978 in 2023, and second in terms of female employees. Furthermore, it was the fifth largest job creator in the country, solidifying its role as a key driver of the Dominican labor market.
