SANTO DOMINGO.- The IX celebration of the golf tournament of the Dominican Association of Housing Builders and Promoters (Acoprovi), which took place at Punta Espada Golf Club last weekend, consolidated itself as one of the most inclusive events of the sector in the last decade.
In the 2024 edition, the top spots were awarded to the following players: in Category A, Leonel Simó and Yoshiro Iguchi took first place net with a score of 62. In Category B, Daniel Santana and Cristian Medina took first place net with a score of 63. Finally, in Category C, Joan Jimenez and Juan Guerrero Pimentel stood out with first place net with a score of 66, according to a press release.
In addition to the category prizes, special recognitions were given during the tournament, among them, the Longest Drive awards were given to Billy Santos on Hole 2 sponsored by Mr Home, Eric Broberg on Hole 9 sponsored by Imca, Roberto De La Cruz on Hole 11 by Tu Casa Rd, and Andrés Marranzini on Hole 14 sponsored by Jordi Amargos.
Also recognized were the players closest to the pin: Leonel Simó on hole 4 sponsored by Cielos Acústicos, Jean Estrella on hole 7 sponsored by Mario Ebanistería, José A. Fernández on hole 13 sponsored by Dapsa, and Andrés Marranzini on hole 16 sponsored by Selladores Cobian.

Finally, the Best Gross Score was awarded to Diancady Santana and Roberto De La Cruz with a score of 66.
Acoprovi President Annerys Meléndez emphasized the importance of this annual event in promoting collaboration and professional development within the construction industry, as well as highlighting the positive impact these elements have on the Dominican business community.

The Friends Against Childhood Cancer Foundation (FACCI) is a non-profit organization whose main mission is to provide comprehensive medical care to children and adolescents with cancer, thereby improving their quality of life. Thanks to the support of companies and generous donations, the organization offers comprehensive assistance that not only helps increase survival rates but also significantly improves the quality of life of affected children.
The night before the event, Acoprovi members were treated to a welcome cocktail, held in the large Acoprovi Tent at Punta Espada Cap Cana, which served as a prelude to the goal of creating a connection between the participants that the organizers seek, both during and after the tournament.
